i am a lady boss of my own skate company!! bwahahHaha!! every morning i wake up & pinch myself to see if its all a dream. nup!! still the boss. heh. i went postal when my laminated certificate arrived in the... uhhmm post (pardon the pun). but i now have an ABN & a registered business name acknowledged by the feds. this is massif!! i am the happiest skater chick alive!! i am still in the process of registering trademarks for the name & logo before it all goes out in public. *sigh* finally.



feels greeeat to be blogging again. not so much for the world to read my bullshit thoughts & mundane existence. i like reading old posts and thinking "holy shit!! that did happen!" or "what was i thinking?" so this particular post... is the the one where i legally became "lau pan niang" of my own skate co. i also need to mention a silly obsession with chase and status tune kalled "pieces"& "dumpling riddum". i love it sooo so much. been singing (and skreaming) it every single day for the past 4 months!! nadia of the future will be so amused. its uploaded on radio.blog so YOU can be obsessed too. boo yah kah!! boo yah kah!!

irenes youngest brother Jacky made us watch this horrendous video kalled '1 guy 1 kup' where this dude squats on a glass jar & inserts it in his anus. the glass jar breaks!!! theres blood & broken shards of glass everywhere!!! it was so gross we broke into severe giggles!!!! jacky sekretly kaught us on kamera fone........



gawd. no wunder my jaws were aching from last night. i just realized i am such a grrlie grrl sumtimes!! aiyoh... so kuniang laughing & squirming. oh dear. haHahaHAHAHA!!! i'm too tired from my earlier kick boxing sesh to blogg right now. but i'll try put up a kouple of entries before i leave the evil isle. good night yo!!

while England was swept by an arctic snap.... Australia was hit by a terrible heat wave. South Australia & Victoria are the worst hit. these fotos were sent by a fren: a little koala walked into their back porch in Maude looking for a bit of heat relief. the kind folks then filled their buckets with kold water & voila!!!! instant koala spa!! isnt this the most precious sight you've seen in awhile????



there has been 37 heat wave related deaths so far. 28 homes destroyed by fire. imagine the unaccounted family pets & farm animals that mightve perished in this unforgiving extreme weather?? but Aussies are a resilient bunch. me mates back home are kracking heat wave jokes & koming up with strange ideas to keep kool (keeping klothes in the freezer, sleeping with frozen ice packs & my personal fave: spritzing themselves with icy kold water). haHahaAHA!! fully sick mate. fully sick.

today me bestie & i went to kenko "wellness" spa for a full-on massage & foot treatment. gawd!! it felt soooo good. i didnt realize how tense & worn out my body truly was till my legs "kracked" every time the lovely masseuse applied pressure on them. my left ankle feels so much better. fwaar!! the spa sesh left me very lithely. all i kud think of after was going for a skate!!!!! ..... but i was damn tired. too relaxed liao!!!! 



we went window shopping & ate lots of junk food. *bliss* we wudve watched a movie but were both too knackered. i even fell asleep on the bus just now!! got strange looks from a few passengers. my guess is (a) i was snoring (b) sleeping with my mouth open (c) drooling (d) sleep talking (e) or nodding off on sumones shoulder??? fuck if i kare!!!! i seriously needed this day out. had loads on my mind. ooookay... maybe i shud update this tomorrow arvo. i nodded off to sleep for a few sekonds just then. haHahaha!! yes i shall. word!!

my "re-union" dinner was with me bestie soya bean irene & her family (whom i havent seen in over 6 years!) we had steamboat dinner & watched this fucking funny taiwanese variety show on telly. thank jah my mandarin is okay. no subtitles!! my bestie decided we'd pop by kwan yins temple to pray before braving the krowds down chinatown. channel news asia estimates 200,000 were gathered. it was insane!!!




this is the first i've lit 3 joss sticks & prayed to kwan yin. irene was telling me the temple gets krazy alittle later. apparently the first devotees to place their joss sticks into the urn at the stroke of midnight get bonus "brownie points" in prayer. but the risk of getting prodded & burnt by the hot amber tips is a given in the mad rush. so we were quite happy to miss out on the hysteria & prayed early. in the meantime heres wishing everyone  新年快乐.可能您所有的愿望成真!!

i "HATE" my job!!!!

my new years was disgusting!!!! i was "forced" to attend origin: the biggest annual new year eve DnB event in perth. YUCKS!!!! i had the "worst" new year ever!! and now i have to attend FLY LO before i leave?¡ those "bastards" at work!! raaawwr!! .... bwahaHaha!!

meeh. i had a blast. totally wikkid ushering in of a new year!! i forgot all about my angst and disappointments of yesteryears at origin. MUSIK is a healer!!!!! i'd rather die than live a life without it. sumdays i forget i'm working kauze they pay me to listen to choons all day!!!! 

i was feeling so down this morning. but a short sesh on my turntables & a kalm kame over me. its hard to describe. i realized 5 things in my life remain a konstant: musik, skating, knowledge, sXe & frenship. there is no kompromise!!! wishing everyone a wikkid as fuck year ahead of us fuelled by musik!!!!!! may the aural sound waves regardless of choice give you great strength & inspiration to face to world in 2009!!!!!!!!! boh!!!!

a few days ago.... my mail box was flooded with messages asking if i had daughters. huh? i'm not even married!! but its only cos they saw a foto of this gorgeous little thing on madlynette's blogg. me mates back on the evil isle insist!! we look EXACTLY alike. do we? really?? wow. kauze i think this kid is a knockout!!! 
and so began a furious diskussion about eurasian mixes. i found out this gorgeous grrl is half french & half javanese. kall me bias but i reckon javanese mixes are stunning!!!! one of me mates is part of this forum that discusses "famous" indo mixes..... i was floored!! its definately in the eyes. we seem to have universal lips & eyes. amazing.

i gushed with pride when i saw this foto. shooOoo kute in their traditional outfits!!! i mean i dunt mind chinese mixes. i've seen interesting half chinese heritage kids. but only if they don't inherit those oriental slit eyes (which is more than likely). they look too weird. personally i prefer indian & malay mixes. but as they say.... beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. and i hold half indo kids rule!!! haHaha!! deal with it.

GORILLA BISCUIT!!!!!

i was at GORILLA BISCUIT last night!!! WOW!! it was insane!!! one of the bestest hardkore shows i've been. i grew up listening to them on kassettes. so never in a million years did i think i wud ketch them live!! it was too surreal. GB performed ALL my fave choons: new direction, start today, hold your ground, finish wat you started, degradation, competition, sitting around at home and my fave.... 'things we say'.

not impressed with the kids of perth city hc though. GB wudve been much appreciated on the evil isle. 2/3 of the krowd were standing around doing fuck all. i get that they dunt want to mosh (neither did i). but i was skreaming along!!! and jumping up & down like a krazy person!! but i was feeling sooo posi i didnt really kare. its gorilla fucking biscuit sia!!!! and they friggin rawk. i still LOVE them but more than ever.

yesssh my mom is in town. surprise visit from the "mothership"!!! gosh. papa lost his job 3 months ago & didnt tell me until recently. he says he loves me too much to make me worry. raaaawwrr!! why are eurasian men like that ah?? keep sekrets. sheesh. i guess they have good intentions. i do miss my papabear. wish i kud give him a hug!!!!   

tonight is the gorilla biscuit gig at the amplifier!!!! dave-o wanted to spend the day at the beach. i had to say no. "dumped for a punk rock band"!!! haHahaHA!! if only you knew mr.perry. if only you knew. we'll be hanging out next sunday.... so its all good. he too will be unemployed soon. oddly... everyone i know whos lost their job seem to be in punk as fuck xposix attitude!!! makes me proud. sxe!!!! 

symphony in the city

last saturday, perths city skyline was a towering backdrop for waso's (western australia symphony orchestra) koncert in the park. waso is a world klass orchestra. you kud hear & feel the konfidence in the delivery of every piece. i was gob smacked!! to top it off, waso kollaborated alongside their amazing choir, the australian army reserve artillery & the swan bell tower. i packed a piknik basket & made a night of it. ahhh.... fabulous.

i almost broke into tears when they performed tchaikivsky's 1812 overture for the finale. i imagined V FOR VENDETTA!!!!! the swan bells were ringing & the cannons of the 7th field battery went off with the loudest explosion!!!! it was insane!!! i dunt know much about klassikal musik. so my playlist kud be wrong. but the video will be made available on webkast from tomorrow arvo. ketch it here. my apologies for any mistakes. 

the hills are aliiiive!!

a kouple of nights ago i was out with the boiz in the "hills". we were mucking around talking shit & eating junk food. yeesh!! PIZZA!!! the bestest i have ever eaten at a quaint kafe kalled 'little caesar'. i had such a blast!! i love marks honda type R. we drove around with our skateboards in tow last weekend. happy times. 

at the pizzeria: the boiz had a "meat fest". greek lamb pizza, gourmet barbie-Q, roman empire and a chook fettucine pizza. weirdest kombinations. i had half quattro formagi & a half smoked salmon one. it was sooooo good!!! we stuffed ourselves silly with dessert pizzas too. 



i was wearing my "slam city skate" tee-shirt (unkonsciously). funny it received more kompliments than marks type R. ahaHaha!! kant be helped.... skaters!! but we also talked about relationships... the economy... the mumbai blast and argued how it will affect Aussie cricket. we shared our thoughts on our future & how lucky we are to "live the moment" in kompany of some great mates. bless em'

so wats the BIG surprise?? i've been relentless in bugging my godma about her surprise prezzie. she finally handed me sum weird looking city link package on the kondition i not open it till xmas. but i know wat it is already!!!!!!!!!!!! ahaHaHAHA!!!  

the package is from: slam city skates. helloo!!! a brand new skateboard deck!!!!! bet its a blueprint. muaHaha!! the shape, the weight, its so obvious. as soon as i saw the mailing addy of the sender ..... i shrieked!! and ran thru the kitchen door, round the house, back into the house thru the laundry door before giving godma a tight squishy hug!!!!! and a kissh!!!!

kant believe i have to wait till Xmas to rip the darn packaging. uuurrrgh!! in all my years... i've always received skate related tee-shirts and even shooz as b-day & xmas pressies. no one has ever bought me skating paraphernalia or hardware (if you not kount my element skate tool). i finally know wat this feels like. *sigh* godma is the bestest!!!! really made my day. 

driving miss O

a full on weekend & i am pooped!! i suggested to sum mates we take the skate mobil out for a spin with our decks in tow for a little misadventure. so we drove to freo, had krepes for lunch, skated & hung out by the harbour front. josh skated this silly karpark. i've had bad experiences with tarred roads. so i sat out of this with mitch. i skrapped the palm of my hands when i fell skating a quiet HDB side road sum years ago. bled & hurt like a bitch!! never again.

 

we went into the city later to skate for abit. had vietnamese for dinner & ended up at a klub spinning house & break beats. we chilled at kings park star gazing before we headed home. the bois downed a few beers (i had a koffee chill!!). gosh i love days like this. good kompany, skating, a bit of mischief, wikkid tunes blaring on the kar stereo & jokes. it was awesome!! chucking a spare tee-shirt & a pair of thongs in the kar boot helps too!!

yessh!! my godma arrived in perth yesterday. she spent a few weeks in london not too long ago. so it was nice staying up late & swapping stories. she has a surprise for me!!!! i have yet to find out wat it is!!!! omg. wat issit?? uurrggh... duncha just hate surprises sumtimes?? the suspense is killing me!! will update again soonest. hope the lot of yous had a greeat weekend as well!!  photo kredit: mitch  

 

new shoezies!!!

i swore i wud NEVER wear nikes. but these were on sale. it wud kruel not to??!! haHaha!! fine. i've sold out. these are my new "sell-out" skating shoes. maaaaann!!! i love my wikkid new nike SBs. kant wait to "break them in" this weekend!! i wore them round the house & fell asleep without taking them off. i woke up this morning, looked down at my feet..... and ta dah!!! there they were. my precious nike SBs. muahaHaha!!    

the partner in krime reminded me it was "guy fawkes" just a kouple of days back. bonfire night & penny for a guy. seriously i reckon "guy fawkes" is waaaay kewler than halloween. historikally its alot more signifikant too. but everywhere around the world.... everyone wud rather "halloween". wat is up with that?? i never kud relate to halloween. maybe theres sumthing wrong with me hey? haHahHA!! 

the sun is shining.......

duuuude!! summers round the korner and i am stoked!!! the past kouple of months have been ominous in guerrilla land. a good fren of mine kommited suicide. he hung himself in his bedroom. friggin unbelievable. and the boy i've been kompletely besotted with the past few years?? he's in a relationship with sum HK fashion designer & kept it sekret from me. history repeats itself all over. i feel so numb & emotionless. fucked my ankle too last month skating. but i say to the world a big.... FUCK YOU!!! i'm still standing!!


so i'm back to my old routine: i'm rarely on msn in the mornings & out skating insted or in the garden with a tall glass of iced mint tea & a book in hand. my passion for hardkore musik is re-ignited for sum reason. i kudnt be more posi & happy. kant remember the last time i've felt so driven!! so much that i've been kraving to eat red meat recently. weird hey?? nevertheless, i've settled for & perfected the art of making a wikkid!! "un-tuna" sandwich. looks like the real thang huh? zse zse zse.  

when life gives you lemons, you paint that shit gold!! i think i'm being harsh on myself burning bridges everywhere. but i'm sick & tired of being treated like a "doormat". its not fair. so i'm moving on. i know i've been horrendous with blogging too. there are a million drafts waiting to be published. terrible. but i'll try and keep up to date eh? okay okay. you'll believe when you see it. haHaha!! but it feels good to be back!!! 

an aussie barbie (not the doll)

last night we threw a barbie in our back yard!! we chucked snags, chops, chicken wings, prawns, cuts of prime beef, corn on the cob & seared spicy cajun fish on the grill. i made a killer potato salad, a ginormous bowl of garden greens with a tangy strawberry vinaigrette & a kreamy koleslaw. non of that low fat malarkey here. i think we made sum seafood salad as well? there was enuff food to feed an entire starving Afrikan village!!  

i'm vegetarian. so the spread was pretty blah for me. i was happy wolfing down my vegan snags & grilled seasonal veggies. however i did end up 'breaking the rules' by having morsels of prawns marinated in peanut butter & garlic (my mums sekret recipe). i havent eaten prawns in years!! we had lightly "grilled" marshmallows & fruit for dessert. yummy. as the charcoal embers turn to ash & the alkohol flowed.... a good time was had by all.   

i dunt enjoi barbies all that much. its too much work i reckon. the different marinades, the flame, grilling the meats.... and the klean up!!!! gosh thats the worst bit. but its nice when its done right. thank heavens the weather held up nicely too. after a nice warm bath washing the meaty fumes away & a good night sleep..... i still feel knackered. its stormy today. so i'm spending my day drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate & snuggling under the sheets hoping to finish this most riveting book i've started reading. guerrrilla is a happy kamper.

i havent blogged in awhile and am overwhelmed some of you want an update!! i dunt believe in resolutions. but have set a few goals for myself. so heres what i've been up to so far and plan on doing in 2008:

(1)my long awaited trip to London.

i made it to London and stayed for a couple of weeks in february. my trip was mostly spent wandering the streets alone and skating spots chosen at random by simply klosing my eyes & pointing on a city street map. this has to be the krappiest vakation ever. okay i lied. my trip to Krabi was shittier. though i admit, the best part about my trip is buying my very first blueprint deck. the graphix are shit. but i love the way it 'pops.' i'm a blueprint konvert. word.

(2)learning French.

i signed up for a beginners klass at alliance française 2 month ago. deluxM & i have always wanted to learn French. she reckons its the 'official language' of romance, love & all that malarkey. yes. women swoon at the thought of being wooed by a Frenchman rah rah rah. i believe French is the language of revolutionary thoughts & ideas. linguists of social konsciousness!! some of my favorite philosophers are French. so i'll probably be arguing!! with a local at a sidewalk cafe insted of sharing love sonnets. haha!! ah well.

(3)sacrament of konfirmation.

yeah religious stuff. i received my "sacrament of konfirmation" during the easter celebrations at st.benedicts & re-used my baptism name "macaille of eire" for this momentus occasion. macaille is pronounced [mah-sehl-lah] or [mah-kay-lah]. the ceremony was a tear jerker!! a few parishioners approached me after mass to tell me how beautiful they thought it was. gosh. spirituality is exhauting hey?! i've got fotos stashed sumwhere. let me find them & post them up soon.

(4)getting off anti-depressants kompletely.
i'm officially off 'zoloft.' being on anti-depressants is not sumthing i'm proud of (especially been straight edge). but when you're inches away from throwing yourself off the 24th floor of an Ang Mo Kio HDB flat, i made an exception. its funny meeting people on the evil isle who go on & on about their miniscule problems. obviously stuff i kud never understand becos i have "everything"!! of kourse its the ones you least expect who end up dead on a sidewalk. i havent been suicidal in months though i do feel melancholic now & again.

(5)krucial cathartic family time

my parents and i took a short vakation to Bali before i left for London. i've been acting really weird the past kouple of years. its not me. its the depression. and i needed them to understand that. obviously!! it was easier getting things off my chest whilst watching sunsets & sipping sosro by a white sandy beach in Bali. *sigh* paradise on earth. papabear & i havent konnected like this in ages!! this was much needed. i do wish we had more time though. 

(6) build a website for guerrrilla skate co™

as most of you know, i've started a humble skate kompany from skratch. it seemed everyone was mad keen on being part of the guerrila skate family during its infancy. sumhow we all got distracted with grrlfrens & work kommitments. so here i am left all alone trying to run things. i am afraid this will fail which explains why i havent launched my first series of decks. taking small steps might be good for a start. maybe building a website first is the best thing to do right now.

(7)lose weight

i've put on 5 kilos the past few months. no. this isnt a vanity thing. i'm worried about my health. i skate on the weekends & try to do yoga twice or 3 times a week. there shudnt be any reason why i am putting on all this weight. maybe its the side effects of going off the anti-depressants. i dunno. all i do know issat i need to shed sum pounds to fit back into my klothes. i kant wear anything in my kloset!!

(8)big move to Hong Kong

i will be living in Hong Kong for 6 months but it hasnt happened yet. i'm not gonna jinx it with details. nuff said. haHahaHahah!!

new haircut.

woohoo!! i got a haircut from tracy the art director at toni & guys yesterday arvo!! my locks are lifeless & unmanageable. but one of the many mysteries of the universe is to find your luscious long locks looking fabulous the day you've got an appointment to chop it off. hmmmpff!! but i'm really happy with the results. sorry about the crappy fotos though. i had to rush rush rush rush!! so i just snap snap snapped!! haHaha!!

i'm looking really chubby hey?!! its all that extra "winter weight" i've put on. been eating so much junk food & havent been skating as much too!! its fucking depressing. literally. summers round the korner. tis the season for tank tops & kute summer dresses. its daunting looking at my tubby self. adding to the fact that i'm very white & pastey!! but do not fret. a day at the beach & i'll be alroiiiight!! gawd i sound like such a girlie girl. hahaha!! bring on summer magik yo!!

sumone asked if i havent been blogging kauze i'm miserable. hahaha!! on the contrary. i've been sunshine happy & sparkling posi lately. things are great. its a shift imperceptable to anyone but me & i noe it can only get better. i've been busy working on my portfolio & am considering moving to melbourne or london next year to pursue a dream. big changes. so i've been away from the world wide web.



oooh!! but i did find time to lurk on a fabulous quirky accessory store online called please elyse. patiently awaiting with breath that is baited for my new purchases to arrive. new disco inferno tracks on radio blogg!! toot toot!! heey. beep!! beep!!i'm extra chipper from a konversation with a mate on the evil isle. he used to work at mtv but made a krucial switch to current affairs. wat an awesum guy. one of my new fave persons in this world. hes gold!!

we had HEAPS to talk about. so much that we were on the fone for 6 straight hours!! haha!! krazeee huh?!! hes got a projekt band kalled the zse zse zses. tell your parents grandparents frenemies & lovers kauze they rule!! new material is in the works so i'm really excited!! we both thought it wud be awesum to 'press' those tracks on vinyl. i'm looking into pressing them in Oz for him. very punk rawk indeed. hurhur!!
