fwaar!! has anyone heard the new Calvin Harris tune 'i'm not alone'? its less disko sounding than 'acceptable in the 80s'..... but i am lovin' it!!!!! nouveau choons up on the radio.blogg. its krucial. since when did the world become so negatory? everyone i chat with back on the evil isle & HK are whinging about sumthing or another. krap health & finances. krappy relationship. sucky job. how fat & ugly they feel.

i think i've always lived in my own shell cause i have always been very posi in outlook. extreme happiness apparently. sure i've been a mess the past few years. and still have some issues that need working on. but when you become paralyzed from living & start bringing others down..... its TOXIC!!! people are dying from disaster & disease. your problems are miniscule in kontrast. so get over yourself. ooh!! excites!! i have loads of fotos of that wikkid skatespot to post tomorrow!!!!!!!! yaaaay.

WOLFMOTHER

3 words: oooh my daaay!! it was like watching my old man perform in his hey days. i've always loved 'wolfmother' as a band. but watching them "live" was 1,0000,000 times better!! it. was. epic. the support band Yves Klein Blue wasnt too shabby either. sounding like a mix of rockabilly.. grunge and soul.... they delivered a wikkid solid set. i've heard their choon 'polka' from a mitsi lancer sport pack ad. who wudve thought the rest of their album was brimming with awesome-ness as well!!!!!

i didnt expect to be kaught in the middle of a mosh pit at the start of 'wolfmother'. this isnt punk rock. its just 'wolfmother' man. but any excuse is a good one to pogo i guess? i'm used to sweat... testosterone & the occasional flying shoo. but Audrey wasnt. thank heavens she didnt mind it!!! *phew* there was a dodgy wanker high as a kite in the pit. he started grinding his pelvis on my butt from behind me. wat an idiot!!!!! i elbowed him REALLY hard & stomped his toes with my heel. then i walked away. he is not going to remember any of this!!! though i hope the ache in his rib & toes are enough to keep him away from gigs & drugs for awhile. sheeesh. otherwise.... twas a wikkid wikkid night!!

GORILLA BISCUIT!!!!!

i was at GORILLA BISCUIT last night!!! WOW!! it was insane!!! one of the bestest hardkore shows i've been. i grew up listening to them on kassettes. so never in a million years did i think i wud ketch them live!! it was too surreal. GB performed ALL my fave choons: new direction, start today, hold your ground, finish wat you started, degradation, competition, sitting around at home and my fave.... 'things we say'.

not impressed with the kids of perth city hc though. GB wudve been much appreciated on the evil isle. 2/3 of the krowd were standing around doing fuck all. i get that they dunt want to mosh (neither did i). but i was skreaming along!!! and jumping up & down like a krazy person!! but i was feeling sooo posi i didnt really kare. its gorilla fucking biscuit sia!!!! and they friggin rawk. i still LOVE them but more than ever.

symphony in the city

last saturday, perths city skyline was a towering backdrop for waso's (western australia symphony orchestra) koncert in the park. waso is a world klass orchestra. you kud hear & feel the konfidence in the delivery of every piece. i was gob smacked!! to top it off, waso kollaborated alongside their amazing choir, the australian army reserve artillery & the swan bell tower. i packed a piknik basket & made a night of it. ahhh.... fabulous.

i almost broke into tears when they performed tchaikivsky's 1812 overture for the finale. i imagined V FOR VENDETTA!!!!! the swan bells were ringing & the cannons of the 7th field battery went off with the loudest explosion!!!! it was insane!!! i dunt know much about klassikal musik. so my playlist kud be wrong. but the video will be made available on webkast from tomorrow arvo. ketch it here. my apologies for any mistakes.

the most fun i had on set was playing "guest DJ" for my production. i was the only one who knew how the equipment worked so the responsibility was mine by 'default'. go figure eh?!! they use CD 'turntables' insted of traditional vinyl ones at the venue. i champion technologikal advancement. but seriously. sumthings in life need to stay ole skool. one of me mates was saying, "its like them sex simulators in 'demolition man' that replace fucking in the future?! haHaha!! in a quirky way... thats true innit?




i've added new choons on my radio.blogg. the selektion is chilled sub-zero temperatures. disclaimer: do not listen if mood is extremely melancholic!! there are 2 radiohead choons. they're one of my fave bands in the whole wide world. whenever i feel like scum of the earth. other than my fave hardkore bands... they're the ones i turn to so i feel better. theres also a reggea-ish sounding kover version of the cure's klassik "love song" by 311. usually kovers suck dawgs balls. but this one is pretty tasteful. so enjoi.

and i've uploaded new choons on the radio blogg. house tunes!! yeaah. deal with it. huahaHaha!! i bought me a pair of turntables some months ago. been squandering my money on vinyls & dabbling in the finer arts of beat matching. you'd think i'd be bored by now innit?! NUP!! not bored at all!! guerrilla loves the dark side.
