last night we threw a barbie in our back yard!! we chucked snags, chops, chicken wings, prawns, cuts of prime beef, corn on the cob & seared spicy cajun fish on the grill. i made a killer potato salad, a ginormous bowl of garden greens with a tangy strawberry vinaigrette & a kreamy koleslaw. non of that low fat malarkey here. i think we made sum seafood salad as well? there was enuff food to feed an entire starving Afrikan village!!
i'm vegetarian. so the spread was pretty blah for me. i was happy wolfing down my vegan snags & grilled seasonal veggies. however i did end up 'breaking the rules' by having morsels of prawns marinated in peanut butter & garlic (my mums sekret recipe). i havent eaten prawns in years!! we had lightly "grilled" marshmallows & fruit for dessert. yummy. as the charcoal embers turn to ash & the alkohol flowed.... a good time was had by all. 
i dunt enjoi barbies all that much. its too much work i reckon. the different marinades, the flame, grilling the meats.... and the klean up!!!! gosh thats the worst bit. but its nice when its done right. thank heavens the weather held up nicely too. after a nice warm bath washing the meaty fumes away & a good night sleep..... i still feel knackered. its stormy today. so i'm spending my day drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate & snuggling under the sheets hoping to finish this most riveting book i've started reading. guerrrilla is a happy kamper.
