i started on ross haenfler's straight edge and wasnt aware the author is an assistant professor at a university!! how awesome issat?? it never ceases to amaze me how fucking intelligent most sxe kids are (and i'm not being biased). sxe folks live & breathe a very strong social konscience to make the world a better place.... and it shows in their vokation. its krucial!! and i truly xbelievex this.
oddly enuff i remember my initial punk rawk years of alkohol... smoking my lungs off & popping pills. there was nuthing fabulous about that life. yet i kontinued down the path of self destruktion for many years. meeh. i'm not gonna start "preaching" about being sxe. its not my style. but i do look forward to reading the rest of this book (especially the chapters on women in hardcore!!) there just one thing that pisses me off every time with non-sxe kids ...........
i became frens with a grrl i met online. shes always talking about how good she is in bed or how high she got last weekend. sure i admire her for being kandid about her sex life. but i drew the line when she wanted me to meet men at a dodgy back packer for a fast fuck. to kut a long story short... we had this huge row about ideology. shockingly she isnt the only one like that. so wat if we dunt drink or smoke or fuck?? its our life. we choose to live it anyway we want!!! this is wat makes sxe kids so resilient.. intelligent.. idealistik & fucking proud. so deal with it!!!
